The old courtyard

Real Wedding
September 10, 2016

Imagine an old courtyard, a place lost in time where once you could see the animals that spent their day in the sun, and the farmers got up at dawn to work the fields.

Back in those days there was always a big party on saturdays and everyone came from nearby fields to have a glass of wine and eat together and forget the toil of work while waiting for the day of rest.

This is the atmosphere that I felt while I took these photographs and I was reminded of the stories of the elderly I heard as a child.

A dive in a past that is not so distant.

Feel that Jazz in Florence
Feel that Jazz in Florence with Louise ad Jeseph Think to be in Florence, my city, in a very hot summer day. Put a little touch of Fitzgerald mood, well my favourite writer. Add a group of friends who just want to have fun and suddenly you can hear it, all that jazz. It's all around and you want to dance though is really hot you can not help but feel the rhythm and the music that goes down the hills. Lights turn on and it looks magic. Wine flows and air gets hotter but you keep dancing and the night seems to never end. This is real fun, is pure joy. That's what I love to do. It's the rhythm around me. It's not just about a photogra ...

And I am so lucky to be that little girl, despite my age. This really explain why I still cry sometimes at weddings and why I shared a tear this time even during the editing process. The lite motif for this day was "love always win". I reall ...

The secret heart of the tower
The secret heart of the tower Set amidst rural Tuscany there is a small medieval village. Right in the center of the village there is a stone tower which seen from beneath it does not seem all that high. But I was assuming wrongly, I assure you, it's much higher than what you would gather. And the climbing steps are countless, old steps and banisters as you hardly happen to see any longer. I can assure you so because those tiny steep steps I have climbed them together with Janneke and Dirk. Only once on the rooftop I then reminded that I suffer of vertigo. While we were squeezed in an old Fiat 500 searching for characteristic cypresses ...
