The house of a poet

Real Wedding
October 25, 2016

Certaldo is the name of a small village in the middle of Tuscany.

It is the birthplace of a great poet who built the history of the italian language. Il Signor Boccaccio….

Around there are vineyards and olive trees fields until your eyes can see.

Jason and Monique came all the way from Australia to see this magical place, to say “I do” under the ancient fresco ceiling.

The old courtyard
Imagine an old courtyard, a place lost in time where once you could see the animals that spent their day in the sun, and the farmers got up at dawn to work the fields. Back in those days there was always a big party on saturdays and everyone came from nearby fields to have a glass of wine and eat together and forget the toil of work while waiting for the day of rest. This is the atmosphere that I felt while I took these photographs and I was reminded of the stories of the elderly I heard as a child. A dive in a past that is not so distant.   Published on Grace Loves Lace     Olive in Love wedding planner Villa Po ...

There is a place which seems to come out of a movie and where once echoed the words of a famous Shakespeare's comedy. In this place, surrounded by these walls people say the Master Leonardo Da Vinci painted the most famous smile of the world, La Gioconda. This is where Nick and Vicky looked into each other eyes and after shared a tear they said "for ever" under a sky of smiles. Maybe because when you happen to be in such a place the words you want to hear are "for ever" or maybe there are a milion other ...

When the abbey has no roof
There is a magic place in Tuscany that seem to come out from a Middle Ages storybook. Is the Abbey with no roof..the Abbey of San Galgano. This is the place that Brian and Louise have chosen for their wedding. Under a cloudy sky they looked each other and said I do while a music of violins danced in the air and the rain waited to fall. Thank you Brian and Louise for choosing my homeland for your special day and thank you for letting me try this unique experience.
